Resources for BIPOC+ Youth

We at C3 acknowledge that BIPOC+ is an imperfect term for categorizing resources, but we offer this partial list of specific scholarships and educational assistance for youth who may identify under this umbrella term.  In addition to financial resources, we have gathered some cultural based groups who can offer support to students and their families.

Oregon Black Education Foundation

Ther mission : "To provide tangible transitional education opportunities; promote equity through eliminating disparities and valuing diversity by working with high school, community college, and university students to support traditional education or technical skills training that galvanizes the entrepreneur spirit for future community and business leaders. "

Black Southern Oregon Alliance

For Black students and their families in Southern Oregon. Includes leadership conferences and camps.

The Fathers Group

Based in Bend, this group of Black parents works to ensure equal opportunities for Black students through leadership, advocacy and youth education.

Imagine Black

Based in Portland, this organization creates action steps to ensure equal educational opportunities. 

Oregon Black Student Success

The Black Student Success Network (BSSN) is made up of 23 Black-led, Black serving organizations across Oregon

Oregon Chinese Coalition

Resources for Chinese youth in Oregon

Pacific Islander and Family Center

Based in Portland, this organization supports Pacific Islander students and their families. 

Muslim Educational Trust

Support for Muslim students in Oregon.

Juntos at Oregon State

At Oregon State University, open to families across the state. 

Familia

This group advocates for trans, queer, and gender nonconforming Latinx people.

Two Spirit Societies

This is a list of Two Spirit groups that service Native Americans. Links lead to local groups that can help those who identify as Two Spirit.

Call Black Helpline

A place for affirming, counseling, and supporting LGBTQ+. Priority given to BIPOC people.

Desi LGBTQ+ HQ

This is a national support resource for South Asian LGBTQ+ people. The group offers a collection of resources for this community.
